Filter Socks

Stormwater Filter Socks

Filter socks are fabric tubes filled with filter media. Lay them around a drain, across a runoff path or at a downspout outlet and water filters through the sock before it leaves your site. Pick the media for the pollutant your permit or sampling flags.

Media options

• Sediment (Part #9457, bulk pack of 36 Part #9459): silt and solids.
• HMRM 1.0 heavy metal (Part #9454): zinc, copper and other dissolved metals in runoff. Ask us for the UltraTech heavy metal data sheet.
• Sorb 44 (Part #9455): oil and hydrocarbons.
• PhosFilter (Part #9456): phosphorus.
• Carbon (Part #9453): activated carbon media.

Replacing socks

Socks load up over time and stop filtering. Inspect them after storms and plan on swapping them on a regular schedule, so keep a few spares on hand.

Stormwater items are usually in stock and arrive in about 7 to 10 business days. Buying for a full site? Request a quote.
