The Ultra-Inlet Guard Plus is one of, if not, the easiest stormwater management products to install. No grates to lift, no fabric to pinch, no cutting necessary. Simply line it up with the grating and lay it on top. The magnets do all the work.

In addition to the ease of installation, the fact that the unit lays on top of the drain means that clean up (dirt/sediment/trash/debris removal) is as simple as sweeping off the surface. The grate doesn’t have to be lifted or removed because everything is kept at street level.

The Ultra-Inlet Guard Plus is held in place by magnets. These are exceptionally strong magnets and more than enough to keep the unit in place under normal circumstances. However, unlike products that are installed under the grating, the Ultra-Inlet Guard Plus is more susceptible to damage from street sweepers and to theft/vandalism.

Also, because the units are held in place by magnets at each corner, the Ultra-Inlet Guard Plus is not a “one size fits all” type of product. Some of UltraTech’s stormwater management products can be trimmed/cut to fit the drain but the Ultra-Inlet Guard Plus must match the drain dimensions very closely in order for it to be effective.

The 24″ x 24″ and 24″ x 36″ size have four magnets each, one in each corner. The 24″ x 48″ size has six magnets, four in each corner and one centered on both of the 48″ sides.
